No, David, is a very cute book with bold, attractive illustration. The art is styled to look like it was drawn by a child, but done very skillfully. The story is effectively told through the illustration, relying on very few words. My son thinks it's funny, but it also has a good message.

Starry Safari is a nearly perfect bedtime story, where the story involves an adventure which leads to bedtime with a fun ending. It has great rhymes, very colorful images and cute safari animals.
The Llama Llama books are quite popular, for good reason. Very attractive artwork, very catchy rhymes. Most of the books involve some sort of lesson to learn (which I personally like in a kids book.)

I'm Dirty, is part of a fun series of books describing a day in the life for blue-collar work vehicles. The illustration is pretty messy, probably an intentional reference to the mess of the work being described in the story. Kids like it, especially if they are into trucks and vehicles and dirt...

I Like Myself, is a wonderful book about a little girl accepting herself just the way she is. Cute art, good rhymes and a wonderful message. This book is great for any child, boy or girl.
How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night? We're a fan of dinosaurs at our house (if it wasn't clear yet). This is a fun book where dinosaurs take the place of children in various common household situations. Fun art accompanied by a good message.

As the name suggests, Revenge of the Dinotrux is about characters that are a sort of hybrid between dinosaurs and work trucks. They are usually (kind of) a metaphor for kids. Creative books that are fun to read. Anyone that loves dinosaurs or trucks (or both) will likely enjoy these books.

Everything You Need To Know About Dinosaurs is a must have for any dinosaur fan. Filled with dinosaur facts, pictures and activities. I'll find my son just flipping through the pages, asking me to read various passages to him. This book is great to read just a page or two if it's already past bedtime and you need an ultra fast bedtime 'story'.
I have a special place in my heart for Berenstain Bear books because they were my bedtime stories 30 years ago. I have found that Learn About Strangers is a great book to start a conversation about strangers and safety in general.
Dinosaur Dig! Part of a series where ten (or so) dinosaurs work together to achieve a goal (like building something, putting together a party, going to space, etc.)
The text is very simple, but the drawings and stories are fun (especially if you love dinosaurs).

Dragons Love Tacos is one of those books that's honestly pretty dumb, but you just have a hard time not liking it by the end. Kids love it, and that's the main thing that matters.
Cute artwork but no real message to speak of. Just for silly fun... and Tacos!
Giraffe's Can't Dance is rated extremely high on Amazon for good reason. A cute book, cute animals and a very good message. Definitely a must-have for any home collection.
Dear Zoo is a very simple lift-the-flap board book ideally suited for toddlers. Great for a short bed time story. Once, twice or seven times through (at least for my daughter). Great for learning animal names, sounds and fun interactivity with the 'lift-the-flap' feature.
Good Night Gorilla is one of my favorite very early read board books for babies and toddlers. There are very few words, but the illustrations work very well at telling the story. The images are very vibrant and pop off the page, which I love. I find myself using my own words to tell and explain the story to my very young children.
Little Blue Truck is another very cute board book. Cute illustrations, cute rhymes with a little bit of a message to learn in there. I think it became a series, but I've only ever read the original.
